CASE STUDY

Liquor Industry Hybrid Event

2020 became the year of the Hybrid and Virtual meeting at Directions, as we worked with our clients, utlising the virtual environment to connect client and stakeholder. With the recent ease on meeting restrictions in NSW, we were able to deliver a multi-day Hybrid event for one of our long-standing clients.

The event saw 120 attendees meet in a ‘socially distanced’ hotel in Sydney, with the client and speakers presenting to the room and a further 300 attendees connecting online from around Australia scattered across both metropolitan and regional cities.

The event was seamless in both the delivery to the in-person and the live audience. The use of technology played a big role as we hosted a live Q&A, capturing question from the online audience and syncing this up questions coming through via an app from the in-person group. This resulting in the online audience feeling engaged throughout the meeting by having their questions answered in real time from the speaker panel.

Our in person face-to-face component was held at Hyatt Regency Sydney with a COVID-safe plated lunch in the hotel restaurant and the business sessions in the socially distanced ballroom.

CASE STUDY

COVID-Safe

We operated this COVID-Safe event with the use of QR Codes for check-in and contact tracing, an Event App with personalised QR Codes for the Q&A which meant the sharing of microphones was eliminated,  our speakers and panel members wore disposable lapel microphones.

We used event branded social distancing signage at multiple points throughout the venue along with providing guests with CovidSafe packs which included event branded facemasks, hand sanitser and other CovidSafe items.
